Summary

J. H. Angas' residence at Collingrove, western view. This homestead was commenced in 1856 and was the family home of John Howard Angas, son of George Fife Angas. It was built of local stone and had a slate roof. John Howard Angas established himself as a pastoralist and philanthropist. The photograph shows the gardener busy at work digging in the flower beds while two members of the family watch him from the front verandah.
